I’ve been wanting to write the email since I first played the CDs you gave me.
Are you kidding? Why aren’t you still singing and making records? We loved your album!
The demo CD only had one track that our car player and my Mac computer would pick up. If there’s something else on it, I’d really be interested in hearing it.
We showed it to Patrick and Nora Minga, our Quito hosts at Hotel Bonanza and they couldn’t believe you weren’t still all over the entertainment airwaves and in the record stores. While we were in Quito before flying back to Houston, I helped Patrick with some guest transportation and those folks from Washington state wanted to know all about you and why they hadn’t heard you before (they are my age or older).
Jeeze, what a disappointment that there’s not more where that came from! I love that kind of music. I loaded it onto my Mac and transferred it to my iPhone and every time I listen to it, I can picture you standing up there on the bandstand in Michael’s in beautiful downtown Cotacachi, crooning to a packed house.
Anyway, thank you for sharing that with us. It is a real treat, over and over.

To my ears your performance and accompaniment in this collection is flawless. To each lyric you fully invest all of yourself. I mean by that: all the d’Addio years of living life, all the d’Addio rapture for music, all the d’Addio years of consummate practice can be heard here. Has anyone been so privileged to hear these classics of America’s Songbook performed with such depth of feeling, clarity of utterance, or mastery of nuance? Not until now. While listening, did I recognize your voice from 30 years ago? For sure, there were a few occasions back then when I did hear you sing, albeit briefly.
When you sang back there on the Upper West Side, be they only few lines & a few bars at a time, I remember being startled by the sudden recognition that you became another person while singing.
Yes, I knew you to talk to on a casual basis, but when you sang I realized there was another person with whom I was not so familiar. No matter what other accomplishments you’ve achieved in ‘this lifetime,’ it’s my belief dear Michael that your greatest passion and talent have always been and will remain TO SING.

I would like to give Michael d’Addio’s latest 2 disc album, “With Michael After Hours” a most fantastic review. It is a real treasure. I continue to enjoy it tremendously. His interpretation of all these wonderful classic romantic melodies is rich with emotion and flawless in vocal tone. I have especially enjoyed “Guess I‘ll Hang my Tears Out to Dry” and find it gives me such a vivid image of what these big tears look like. His interpretation of “Stardust” gives me a magical thrill. Michael’s diction is perfect and I can understand every word. All I can wonder is why we did not have this wonderful album sooner or where has Michael been hiding his immense musical skills?
